Position: Senior Graphic Designer

Position type: Full-time, salaried

Summary: The Senior Graphic Designer for Spark Advertising will employ the latest advertising tools and approaches to help clients meet their business needs through the creation of advertisements, logos, newsletters, websites, presentations, videos and more. If you’d like to design, creative, invent and imagine helping clients grow, Spark is looking for you.The role reports to a vice president.

The Spark Advertising experience: Spark is a small, dynamic advertising agency that provides big-agency quality and opportunities while giving clients an intimate experience, value and efficiency. Our clients include telecommunications, financial services, food service, manufacturing and more. Given Spark’s intimate size and very focused company culture, to be successful, candidates need to be highly positive, team-oriented and client-focused.

Required Skills:

• A successful personal working process that takes assigned projects from Creative Brief to finished artwork while including research, artistic inspiration, client branding and positioning, client feedback, team input and deadlines.
• Proficiency using standard computer design programs including, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Ability to produce creative designs that meet client’s strategic needs for a variety of media including websites, e-blasts, presentations, video and social media.
• Ability to take direction and complete projects to the satisfaction of leadership and clients.
• The ability to work quickly and meet deadlines while meeting quality standards and working within client guidelines and standards.
• The ability to work alone, demonstrating self-direction and motivation meeting deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously.
• The ability to interact with clients – answering the phone, speaking to clients about their projects, and interacting face-to-face as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• A team oriented mindset and dedication to client’s goals and wishes.
• Passion, Integrity, and Energy.

Qualifications: To fill this role, Spark is seeking an experienced, positive and creative individual. Specific experience and education requirements include:

• At least two years working in an advertising agency.
• An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design or related field or equivalent visual design educational background.

Additional Information:

Compensation: Spark provides a competitive compensation plan including salary, vacation time, health insurance benefits. Salary is based on position grade and qualifications. Specific compensation is outlined in a job offer made to a candidate.

Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer and standard office equipment. Ability to drive a vehicle in order to perform client location visits is required.

Tools for success: All working tools are provided by Spark, including computer, software and subscriptions and needed training. Working location is Spark’s office, 126 1⁄2 W. Wisconsin Ave, Neenah, Wis. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
